SR/1103   TATTERSHALL CURZON CE PRIMARY SCHOOL. Records of Tattershall Curzon CE Primary School. The school was built in 1864 as a National School, and was known as Tattershall CE School by 1913. Senior pupils were transferred to the Tattershall Gartree Secondary Modern School from April 1954. New school buildings were opened in 1965 but the old school also remained in use. 1883-1971

Recites terms of Banks's will; the marriage settlement of James Hamilton Stanhope with Lady Frederica Louisa Murray (eldest daughter of William, Earl of Mansfield), 6 and 7 July 1820; the will (17 Feb 1823) and codicil (of same date) of JH Stanhope, whereby he devised his interest in the Lincolnshire estates to his son James Banks Stanhope, and, should he d.s.p., to the use of the younger children of his brother Philip Henry, Earl Stanhope; the will of Sir Henry Hawley, dated 17 Jan 1825; deaths of JH Stanhope (5 Mar 1825), Sir H Hawley (28 Jan 1826) and Lady Banks (28 June 1828); collusive action in Chancery, 2 Dec 1828, resulting in enquiry into possible partition; Master's Report of 28 July 1829, stating that due to minority of JB Stanhope, and the limitations under his father's will an act of parliament would be necessary; preparation of scheme by John Burcham of Coningsby; agreement for partition (deed of 15 Feb 1831), whereby Hawley, receiving the slightly more valuable h. 6 Sep 1831

They cover: Frampton, Earl's Hall and Donington in Holland, Irby and Laceby (4), Tattershall Thorpe and Kirkby on Bain (2), of which estate one third is held by the Hon Theophilus Fortescue, Sempringham, Billingborough and Birthorpe (2), one third of the estate is held by the Lord Clinton, South Kyme, (6), Kingerby, Lincolnshire. Hathersage, Derwent and Edale, Derbyshire. Farms in Dorset. Chaldrons Herrings near Dorchester and another estate adjoining to Dorchester. These have the appearance of valuations for sale, and the purchase price is sometimes calculated and added. Undated, except South Kyme 1738-45. c1720-1750
