Tattershall with Thorpe Parish Council

The Parish Council have been very busy as you will see from the following details.  If you would like to have your say about any of this information, do please pop into the Parish Office where you will receive a warm welcome.

 Parish Office:

The Parish Office is situated next to the library on the Gartree Community School site.  The opening hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 9.00am–12.00pm and Thursday 8.30am-11.30am. Mrs Jean Girling, Parish Clerk, can be contacted on 01522 550347 or by e-mailing ‘tattershallthorpe@tiscali.co.uk’.

Access to Sluice

In conjunction with Lincolnshire County Council it is hoped to provide disabled access to the sluice.  Grant applications are currently being sought.

Telephone Kiosk

BT have advised the parish council that they will not retain the telephone kiosk on East Drive.  Members are currently fighting to retain this facility.

Flag Flying at Tattershall:

Flag flying continues to be very popular and is a great way to help to raise funds for local charities.  Keep flying the flag and helping the community at the same time.

Parish Plan:

A Steering Group has now been formed to begin working on a Parish Plan for Tattershall and Tattershall Thorpe.  Every household will be given a questionnaire to complete, which will enable the council to have a clear picture of how residents would like to see changes and improvements to their villages in future years.

31^st October 2008           Annual Finance and General Purposes Committee

Meeting.  Any requests for donations should be submitted well in advance of the meeting.

6^th December 2008          Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Market

                                          Place.

15^th May 2009                   Annual Parish Dinner with guest speaker, Mr Barry Haynes
