of Sleaford Road, winners of the Standard Garden of the 2008 Best Kept
Garden Competition. Large splashes of colour from autumnal flowers lead the
eye to the goldfish pond with its fountain and waterfall. |

| Chairman, Mr Richard Pick, presented
the Rose Bowl Trophy to Mr and Mrs Dodd as winners, with Mr and Mrs Plowman
of Lodge Road gaining second place and Mr and Mrs McDowell of Fortescue
Close gaining third place. |

Winners of the Barrack Trophy for
first place in the container garden section were Mr and Mrs Higgins of Lodge
Park Homes, with Mr and Mrs Carmichael taking second place and Mr and Mrs
Veall taking third place.

prizes this year and hopefully there will be more beautiful gardens to judge
