Meet The Neighbours

The second annual Meet the Neighbours Evening was held at Thorpe Camp on 20 October 2006.  The event is designed to give the residents of Tattershall Thorpe the opportunity to meet old friends along with newcomers to the village and enable residents to foster a cohesive community spirit.

The format was as before – a free evening – bring your own food and drink.  The Committee provided entertainment, in the form of quizzes and games.

Everyone was welcomed at the door and given a glass of fruit punch.  This year we had the winning of the Best Kept Village Award to celebrate and also, for the first time, we had our own Best Kept Garden trophy to present.  Won this year by Mr & Mrs Hanson of Columbine, North Road.

The event was attended by around 60 people and was a great success.  Plans are already in hand for a repeat in 2007.

Start of Beetle Drive

2007

Over 50 residents of Tattershall Thorpe attended the third village "Meet The Neighbours" evening held on Friday 19th October 2007 at Thorpe Camp.

The evening got off to a good start with a free glass of Evelyn's punch before an Aussie Rules Beetle drive and music quiz.

Councillor Mr Coulber then congratulated the village in the recent Best kept village competition where it was placed second in the previous winners class and read out the judges comments.

The organisers thank the trustees of Thorpe Camp for the generous use of the venue and Mrs Hodson for her fundraising tombola.

Meet The Neighbours 2008

The 4th Annual Meet The Neighbours event was held at Thorpe Camp on the 5th September for the residents of Tattershall Thorpe where villagers enjoyed a free evening with a light hearted talk on village life given by Evelyn Hodson and John Meanwell.

Villagers had time to chat whilst enjoying their own refreshments.

As in past years the event was a grat success

This year the Blue Bell trophy for the best kept garden was awarded to Mr & Mrs Lane of the Hawthorns North Road
