The second annual Meet
the Neighbours Evening was held at Thorpe Camp on 20 October 2006. The event is
designed to give the residents of Tattershall Thorpe the opportunity to meet
old friends along with newcomers to the village and enable residents to
foster a cohesive community spirit.
|
|
The format was as before – a free
evening – bring your own food and drink. The Committee provided
entertainment, in the form of quizzes and games.
|
|
Everyone was welcomed at the door
and given a glass of fruit punch. This year we had the winning of the
Best
Kept Village Award to celebrate and also, for the first time, we had our own
Best Kept Garden trophy to present. Won this year by Mr & Mrs Hanson of
Columbine, North Road.
|
|
The event was attended by around 60
people and was a great success. Plans are already in hand for a repeat in
2007. |
