Libraries…On the move
Serving your community
Wherever you live in
Lincolnshire,
whether in the depths of the countryside, at the seaside, in the fens or on
the wolds, or even on the edge of a town, a
Mobile Library will stop nearby. Every day
the Lincolnshire Library Service fleet of Mobile Libraries operating from
bases around the county, takes thousands of books and other resources to
people all over the County, providing a vital link between the Library
Service and the numerous and diverse communities in Lincolnshire, from North
Cotes and Brocklesby in the north east of the county to South Witham and
Uffington in the south west.
Each
Mobile Library carries a range of fiction and non fiction books, large print
and talking books for both adults and children, including a substantial
amount of picture books and board books to enable us to welcome our youngest
residents on board. Mobile libraries also carry a wide range of leaflets
about local events and much community information.
Stock
is regularly rotated to ensure a constant supply of different titles, but it
is also very easy to reserve items that you would like to see. You can also
"pick up your
PIN"
to use with your membership card to access our online catalogue and order
books and other items including DVDs, CDs and Videos to be ready for your
next visit to the Mobile Library.
The
service is free to use and open to everyone for all information needs,
learning and leisure reading. We are also happy to welcome on board groups
of schoolchildren who access the service at school as part of their school
day. |
