The Parish Plan gives
you the opportunity to say what you want for our future. It's
purpose is to make Tattershall and Tattershall Thorpe a better place
to live in, now and in the long term.
The "Plan" can include
anything that is relevant to the people who live and work in our two
villages. eg. transport, recreation, housing, crime, litter,
protection of the rural landscape etc.
All over the country towns and villages are making or have made a
"Parish Plan".
Here in Tattershall /Tattershall Thorpe, a group of
people, with the backing of the Parish Council, have been working
hard for the last six months to make a "Plan for our Future". When
the "Plan" is complete it will give us a better chance of obtaining
money for improving our communities. If we don't do this, we could
be left behind other villages. We have already obtained the finance
to proceed, and later this year a survey will be made of the whole
community. A questionnaire will be sent to every household. Please
find the time to fill this in, you will not be asked to send it
back, as it will be collected. The survey will be completely
anonymous, so say what you like! Also look out for our "Stand" at
various events in the village, and on the Village Green now and then
(weather permitting!).
Results from our "Stand" so far include: A bit more "community
spirit", a lot less litter and more police patrols esp. after
midnight at weekends. I hope you will join in and work with us, if
you would like to find out more, offer help, or wish to know the
date of our next meeting, please call me on 342886.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 2009:
After two years we are ready to publish the Parish Plan
which will include the 'ACTION PLAN' which has been
drawn up using the information from the Survey which
went to every household in February 2009.
Watch this space for the date of the launch in the
New Year when we will present a copy of the Plan to the
Parish Council and other relevant bodies and individuals
who may be able to assist us in achieving our goals.
The complete Plan including all the information
received in chart form will be available on this web
site after the official launch.
Getting to this stage has been a huge struggle and I
would like to thank all the members of the Steering
Group who have stuck with it.
We are almost there!
